Meet the Dance Chelmsford Team
Chloe Juby (UKA Associate Member)
Chloe started taking ballet lessons at the age of 3, later adding Disco, Latin and Ballroom classes. She trained with some of the UK's top Latin and Ballroom coaches and represented England in a number of prestigious competitions, making the top 3 in many of them.
Chloe is an experienced and talented choreographer in Latin, Ballroom and Street Dance and she qualified as an Associate in both Latin and Ballroom dancing in 2006.
Jennifer Meer (UKA Associate Member)
Jennifer took up Ballet, Tap, Acro and Modern dance at 3 years of age. She won many dance competitions as a child and achieved top marks in her dance GCSE and A levels before taking a Performing Arts National Diploma for which she received a distinction. She worked as a professional dancer with the Fugitive Dance Company and then Dancing for Colchester United FC before taking up teaching full-time.
Jennifer taught dance Key Stage 3, G.C.S.E and A-level at the Plume school in Maldon and then completed her teaching qualifications in Latin and Ballroom. Jennifer has also choreographed and directed many shows at a number of stage schools. Her previous shows include Oliver, Bugsy Malone, The Hot House and various pantomimes and showcases.
David is certainly not involved with Dance Chelmsford for his ability and skill on the dance floor, however like for many of our clients it is a passion. In short David gets to do all the other boring stuff asscociated with running a dance company. With many years in company management in creative enviroments Davids role is to ensure that the business function supports what we all love doing which is the Dancing
Lauren Davies (UKA Associate Member)
Lauren started dancing at the age of 2, initially learning ballet, and then moving onto Latin & Ballroom in which she completed her medal examinations. She has continued to improve her professional qualifications and has recently become a full UKA associate member
Lauren is a strong Hip Hop and Street Dancer and has performed in many shows around the country.
Lauren also enjoys developing our younger dancers in the Small Steps class, and has an enthusiastic approach to her dancing and teaching.
Gary Stevens - Student Teacher
Gary has been dancing for 7 years and competes for Dance Chelmsford in team matches and school competitions. Gary has completed exams to an above gold level and is currently training to qualify as an associate member of the UKA.
Kirsty Rayfield - Student Teacher
Kirsty has been dancing with Dance Chelmsford since it opened and previously had competed and performed in Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop and Contemporary. Kirsty is now training to qualify as a Ballroom specialist and has taken her exams up to Gold in Latin and Ballroom. Kirsty has also been involved in a Contemporary company and performed around the country.
